Week 33 wasn't much more productive than week 34. Two days off running again. Pretty dang cold out still. Had two good runs on the treadmill, one over lunch (fast pace) and another Friday night, tough hill workout. Ended this week with the big Company "Winter Party", my taxes are done, and have some sad news about my Grandma Kathy. I'm pulling for Granny, she has some tough days ahead of her. As for me, 4 weeks down and feeling pretty good.

Week 34 (3/36) In Review
Week 34...Not a great running week. Two days off running is not a good thing to do. Missed my 13 miler too, instead I rocked an early morning 10 on the treadmill. I hit the weights a little harder. I worked until Midnight on a project in Korea for the bossman, as I suspected, he didn't really appreciate the effort. The next day it was dangerously cold and icy...Then it was off to NYC for ASHRAE.

Week 35 (2/36) in Review
Week 35 (Boston Week 15) was a good one. It started with three days in the 50's. Unfortunately, on two of those days I ran inside because of thunderstorms. T-storms in January?!? I hope you're happy Al Gore.
No soreness this week so I must not be trying hard enough. My speed is picking up. Again all biking was done on the indoor trainer. I watched the BCS Championship (you suck OSU) and the movie "Super Bad" while on the bike. Funny movie, way over-the-top. I enjoyed the cops describing Eminem. Well, here it is, a summary of week 35 (January 6, 2008 - January 12, 2008)

Week 36 (1/36) in Review
Week 36 should also be known as week 1. Week 36 is also Boston Week 16. It's easier to track the amount of time left by counting down. Week one was the first solid week of exercise since September... I'm sore, sleeping a lot better; the good news is the rest did some good. There are no residual aches or pains. All the slowness of 2007 is hopefully gone. All biking was done on the indoor trainer. One run was indoors because of extreme cold conditions. Here is a summary of week 36 (December 30, 2007 - January 5, 2008)

It Begins
Welcome to my Ironman Wisconsin training blog. If you were wondering if someone could be more insane than you, then read this blog. Over the next 36 weeks I will describe the intimate details of my training program. In 16 weeks I will be competing in the 112th Boston Marathon; while that is a very important race, my training will still be primarily focused on the Ironman. I will try to post a weekly summary of my training program.
